Here's a self-portrait I just did COMPLETELY in Adobe Photoshop! Usually I start out with vector shapes in Illustrator, and bring it into Photoshop to lay gradients on top... but this time I got a little gutsy and used the pen tool in Photoshop for my flat shapes instead! Cheers for experimentation! ;D

Ho ho ho!
Here's a little something I was working on for Christmas! I'm not 100% set on the tree/presents background yet, so I attached my work in progress elves below so you can see where I'm going with it. Happy Holidays, everybody! :)

A Tribute to Charles Darwin
This one is for Zack, my friend from Philly, whose dog passed over the summer. Rest in peace, Charles Darwin. :)

Happy Bear!
Here's a piece I recently finished for my Advanced Digital Illustration class. As per usual, it is an Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop baby. Hope you enjoy it! :)
What if Sarasota flooded?
Clowns would float around in innertubes! Stay tuned for the flamingoes, fish, and manatees soon to come...

The Little Penguin
Well, it seems like I'm on a bit of a posting spree tonight! Here's two images I did for my Advanced Digital Illustration class. I hope you like them! :D The assignment was to reillustrate a set of wine labels (one red, and one white) from an existing vineyard. BUT, we were supposed to use our own style to put a twist on the usual "sophisticated" wine cliche.

More Digital Stuff!
Oh boy! More digital goodness! So, I've been experimenting with some cool new Photoshop tricks, brought to you by Mr. Octavio Perez, my favorite Advanced Digital Illustration teacher. DISCLAIMER: These two images are unfinished, but I have plans to finish them! The first image is supposed to be a bunch of dinosaurs around a birthday cake. Mr. Hodges (my illustration teacher) made some really cool suggestions on how to improve it, so expect a cooler version later!
This second image is of two golfing T-Rex dinos... This is also my first shot at this style, so bear with my cruddy contrast and other technical blips! I'm still doing some experimentation with this, so hopefully it'll get better soon, because I really have fun doing it! :)

Figure Paintingsss! :D
Here are a few figure paintings from about a month ago... I would have posted them earlier, but by the time they were dry enough to toss them on the scanner, practically a month had gone by! Oh, oil paints. Well, better late than never, right? :) More to come soon!
Oh, and these are oil on canvas, approx. 12"x 16", and were done in 2.5 hours each.

Portraits, part deux!
Here are some more portraits I did this past semester, from life, with limited time. Some are painted in oils, the others are drawn in conte and/or pastel. :)

Christmas Card!
Here's a triple portrait I did for a family with three children, for their Christmas card! This one was really fun to do, all digital, all in Photoshop. Next time I think I'll try to eliminate the black lines, but for a first shot, I'm happy with the way it turned out! :)

30 Portraits in 30 Days
...except that I only did 19 of them. Whoops! Well, nonetheless, here's the highlights from Pratt's infamous assignment. They're a little rough, but I suppose with four other courses hanging over my head, they're probably allowed to be. :P Oh, and thanks to the random people on Flickr that unknowingly loaned me your faces for this assignment. I really appreciate it! :)

Digital Illustrations
Oof, sorry about the time gap! I wasn't really producing anything over the summer months, so now that school is back in swing, I finally have some new things to show! Below is a smattering of assignments from my digital illustration class. The top image is a character design for a sloth named Terry. Below that are vector assignments done in Adobe Illustrator... a portrait of my lovely friend Elise, and a quick practice vector of a baby elephant. I thought he was pretty cute, so I tossed him up here too. :) Hope you like!
